Regardless of what has happened in the past, I want you to be happy now. I want you to find peace, joy, content, safety and happiness..
I truly believe if all of us human being were allowed to be happy, the way children are, when they are little – we would nut hurt each other so much.
But there is so much pain and suffering. And the irony! The irony is that its all an illusion.
It breaks my heart to see everyone in pain. The pain comes from expectations, desires, comparisons and rightfully so!
Ever since we are able to comprehend the language of the world, we are told “you have to succeed”, “You have to be good”..
In fact, did you know – Albert Ellis, an American psychologist came up with a list of 11 beliefs that we are conditioned with, that are completely irrational.
Check it out, do some of these strike a chord?
- It is essential to be loved and approved by every significant person in one’s life
- To be worthwhile, you need to be competent and adequate in whatever you attempt. Failure is not an option
- Come people are villianous, bad, wicked and should be punished
- It’s terrible and disastrous when something doesn’t do your way
- Unhappiness is the result of eternal events, A person has no control over such despair
- Something potentially dangerous or harmful should be a cause of great concern and should always be kept in mind.
- Running away from difficulties is better than facing them.
- A person must depend on the other and must have someone stronger on whom to rely,
- Past determines ones present behaviours and this can not be changed.
- A person should get upset over the problems and difficulties of other
- There is always a right answer to evert problem and failure to find this is a disaster
Can you believe it! These are the demons you are living with!!
I tell you – we have got to get ahead of the conditioning, all the illusions. STOP LISTENING.
Stop listening to everyone and anyone who is in your head. Let your true instincts guide you. Judge by what makes you happy, drop what feels like a pretence, be clear, be sure and see how each day feels lighter and lighter…
They say, “being happy is a habit”. Let’s try to be happy each day. Dance, laugh, find the wonder in small things around you…I wish for you…I wish soon…soon, happiness will be you…
